This level of tenacity is highly beneficial in the development and manufacture of various applications:
- Sewing yarn.
- Filtration
- Technical yarn for textiles.

INDUSTRIAS MURTRA, S.A. is working hard on researching and developing new products such its pioneering intermingled yarn. Within this specialisation, two types of development should be highlighted:

- Yarn for industrial use.
- Twisted, intermingled, high tenacity, low denier yarn.

This achieves high tenacity: 7.5 gr./den in very fine yarns (a low denier per filament of 2 to 4 7 dpf). This type of yarn has begun to be used in the manufacture of sewing yarn, filtration products and medical dressings. It is also being widely used in the nautical sports field, in sails for example: spinnaker).

- Textile yarn.

None of the usual advantages of polypropylene yarn are lost. Thanks to its low moisture absorbence rate (0.05%) it is ideal for fabrics and/or multi-layer clothing that allows the moisture to escape from the body. This feature is highly valued for sports clothing which requires long-lasting comfort with high performance.

Our manufacturing units use the latest manufacturing equipment with advanced technology including twisted yarn, air or friction textured yarn, provided by the most important companies in the yarn industry. This equipment gives us the versatility to fulfil our clients’ requests rapidly. The quality standards required are guaranteed by the 9001:-2000 certificate issued by the Lloyds Register. Furthermore, as demonstrated by our Oko-Tex certificate, we do not use noxious or toxic products in our manufacturing processes.
